When I wish I didn't have to sleep

Katherine makes me wish I didn't have to sleep. Especially when I see her 2009 costuming year in review........ and then her 2010 year in review. I would post some pictures here but you'll just have to go over there and see for yourself ;)

All I can say is that everyone should have someone who makes them reach for the sky. Who makes you reach for the sky?

I'm working on a pair of these for my mom. When I finish them, I'll update again.

Till then,
Bethany Lynn

  1. Katherine does the same for me. She was the one who started my old childhood love for costumes all over again and for real. I haven't even reached the lowest boughs of trees yet, but yes, she makes me reach for the sky. :-)

  2. Oh, and I've just remembered someone else - Anna of Pleasant View Schoolhouse! http://pleasantviewschoolhouse.blogspot.com
In a more subdued and approachable way - I doubt I ever could be as productive as Katherine (and am not sure I really want to - I don't have room for so many costumes!), but Anna makes me think the things she does are doable.

  3. Dear Bethany Lynn,

Thank you for stopping by the cottage :) Your visit brought a smile to my face - Thank you!

In regards to the serger...I am selling it for $60.00 including shipping. The machine is over 10yrs old and it is in excellent condition. I have all the parts and I know that I have the manual filed away. It is a White serger with 4 thread cones and two needles.

I have used it all the time until I began sewing on the treadle, and now, all I want to do is sew the old fashioned way...without the gadgets :)

Let me know if you are interested.

    In His Name,

  4. How very well I know the feeling of wishing I could get away with no sleep and no food. The last several days have found me working until quite late at night (or even early in the morning) on several sewing projects and lamenting the fact that I really MUST sleep occasionally! :)

The projects on which you are working look very interesting and I cannot wait to see the end result!

    Blessings to you, Bethany Lynn!
